Summer Track and Field Season 2020-21 Update

A quick update for the upcoming season. Season Starts 21 November 2020

Registrations are now open.
To register for Eastfield Studfield LAC goto the member portal on the Little Aths Vic website

For new Athletes click on New Member
Select Knox as your Centre, then select Eastfield Studfield (The Fields) LAC as your club, you can then follow the prompts and it will take you through to payments and finalising your registration
For new members please be aware that you are able to trial for two weeks with the Centre before committing to the season.

For existing members you will have a renewal email from LAVic. In order for your children to compete on the first day of competition you will need to register by Wednesday November 18.

Once athletes register they will be sent out a calendar to prepare for the season, as well as some information on the protocols that will be in place.

Some important dates to put in your calendar are:

Sunday November 8 – 10am – working bee ($30 working bee levy refunded for registered families only)
Monday November 9 – training commences (you must be a registered athlete to be eligible to train. Numbers are also limited. Please see Knox website)
Saturday November 14 – 8.30am – Chief Official training
Saturday November 14 – 10am – try out day
Saturday November 21 – 8.30am – first day of competition for 20/21 season

Roles to be filled this year
We do need to fill some roles at the club for this season including a minimum number a Chief Officials. Jobs that must be filled are:
Chief Official – Long Jump 2

Please keep in mind that this is a shorter season with only 13 weeks of normal competition. This means that you will only need to do duty a minimum of 4 times. If you have an interest in helping out the chief officials role are easy to do and is a constant duty for you.

Covid 19 Protocols
The Knox LAC committee have been working overtime to produce a lot of protocols that meet the requirements to return to a COVID normal competition. Please check the the Knox Website for the latest on the protocols and what is means for the season ahead.

How to Access your Child’s results

Each week athletes’ results are captured via the “Results HQ platform” this allows families to view results online.

For members who have not used ResultsHQ before to access their results you can log in as follows:

Go to resultshq.com.au
Click on Forgot My Password
Enter your email as your username
Press submit
You will get an email with the log in details for your family area

LA Vic 2019 to 2020 Season Calendar Release

Little Athletics Victoria has released the full 2019-20 Season Calendar for track and field and cross country in 2020.

Season 2019-20 will see the Region Carnivals and State Championships for Relay events occur prior to Christmas.

The State Combined Events Championships, Region Track and Field Carnivals, and the State Track and Field Championships all occurring in the new year.

Season 2019-20 also has an added challenge of Lakeside Stadium being renovated during the months of October, November and December this year. Please note that some events such as AV All Schools have been moved from Lakeside Stadium to other venues.

The calendar also includes the dates Introduction to Coaching and Introduction to Officiating Courses. For anyone looking to begin coaching or officiating these are worthwhile doing.

2019 -2020 Season Little Athletics Registrations are now open

Little Athletics Victoria registrations are now open for the 2019 -2020 season.

Click on Register Now above which will take you to `Get Involved’ on the Little Athletics Victoria website and follow the prompts through to renew your membership or sign up for the first time.

If you are a returning member don’t worry if you don’t have your login details, Little Athletics Victoria will be sending these details out to every member in the coming weeks.

For new members click on New Members, Register Online and select Knox as the Centre and Eastfield-Studfield for the Club.

Knox LAC introduction and tryout day is 10:30am -12noon on 21 September and the season starts on 5 October 2019.
